The Children's Climate Risk Index (CCRI) Interactive Atlas

The UNICEF Children's Climate Risk Index (CCRI) provides the first comprehensive view of children’s exposure and vulnerability to the impacts of climate change. The UNICEF Children's Climate Risk Index (CCRI) Interactive Atlas allows users to visualize the Index and its key components on a map. The Index ranks countries based on children’s exposure to climate and environmental shocks, such as cyclones and heatwaves, as well as their vulnerability to those shocks, based on their access to essential services. The CCRI is structured according to two central pillars: 1) Exposure to climate and environmental hazards, shocks and stresses; and 2) Child vulnerability. Across the two categories, the CCRI brings 56 variables together to measure risk across 163 countries.
