The United Nations Office for Disaster Risk Reduction (UNDRR) UNDRR, in partnership with Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, developed "Technical Guidance on Comprehensive Risk Assessment and Planning in the Context of Climate Change" to offer a framework on how to apply comprehensive risk assessment and planning for policy makers and integrate risk assessment, and its results, into the decision making and planning processes across all levels. The document outlines several approaches to conduct comprehensive risk assessment including qualitative approaches, scoping, identification, and analysis. In addition, this document serves as a guideline on how to integrate these approaches into planning and decision making.
