An Online Sourcebook: Anchoring Loss and Damage in Enhanced NDCs

Developer or Source: Practical Action, World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF)

This Sourcebook provides guidance to national governments and key stakeholders on “how to include loss and damage in the NDC enhancement process”. It provides simple suggestions on how to improve the NDC and make them more aligned with the Paris Agreement. By following the 4 simple steps provided each country can consider how to incorporate loss and damage associated with climate change in their NDC. By including loss and damage in the NDC targets they will be more comprehensive, and will therefore describe the key milestones on the pathways necessary for communities and nature to be more resilient to the ever-escalating climate change impacts that cannot be addressed through adaptation alone.
