Global Forest Resource Assessment

Global Forest Resources Assessments (FRA) are produced every five years to provide a consistent approach to describing the world’s forests and how they are changing. The Assessments are based on two primary sources of data: country reports prepared by national correspondents; and remote sensing conducted by FAO together with national focal points and regional partners. The platform allows users to export facets of data, including forest extent, characteristics, change , designation, management, disturbances, as well as policy and legislation.
