Enabling Voices, Demanding Rights: A guide to gender-sensitive community engagement in large-scale land-based investment in agriculture

This guide presents step-by-step information and advice for communities and other stakeholders to ensure women are directly involved in decision making on the land issues that affect them. It was developed through community consultations in Kenya, Senegal, Cameroon and Zambia and was pilot-tested in Uganda. The guide is an overview of the key steps in the Large Scale Land Based Investments(LSLBI) process. It defines what community engagement looks like and highlights five key entry points communities can use to influence the LSLBI process through organized and targeted engagement. It should be applied on land-based investments in agriculture and mining.
