The American Cities Climate Challenge Renewables Accelerator, an initiative of the Climate Challenge, supports US cities in procuring renewable energy as they seek to meet or beat their near-term carbon reduction goals. Jointly led by Rocky Mountain Institute (RMI) and World Resources Institute (WRI) and facilitated by the Urban Sustainability Directors Network (USDN), the Renewables Accelerator provides cutting-edge tools, best practices, resources and technical assistance to help U.S. cities advance ambitious renewable energy goals. This site is intended to be a one-stop shop for local governments in the United States to effectively procure and scale clean energy. The tools, resources, and guidance provided and documented on the site are all free to use and publicly accessible.
