(17:00 - 18:00 EET) Accelerating Just Transition to Low Carbon Transport in Asia and the Pacific

As countries in Asia and the Pacific start to implement electric mobility policies for private vehicles, public transport and commercial vehicles, it would be increasingly critical for governments to address any policy challenges in order to ensure a just transition for both transport users and in the transport workforce.  This event highlights low carbon transport solutions in Asia and the Pacific and identify policy action that will enable a just transition to electric mobility.  The event will serve as a platform for multi-stakeholder engagement between governments and UN organizations, including ESCAP, UNEP, ILO, UN Global Compact, as well as other organizations such as GIZ and ADB.
