(15:30 - 16:30 EET) Jordanian - German Cooperation for the Realization of NDC Commitments

The session aims to present the efforts resulting from the Jordanian – German cooperation in terms of implementing and realizing the national commitments outlined in Jordan’s updated 1st NDC as of October 2021.  The focus will highlight efforts within the water sector and discuss major projects in the sector that support Jordan in addressing climate related impacts on its scare water resources. The session aims to also present the Aqaba-Amman Water Desalination and Conveyance National Project (AAWDC) and its contribution to reducing greenhouse gas emission on a national scale.
