(14:00 - 15:00 EET) NDC Update & LTS alignment and Greening Public Finance Management in Uganda

Uganda has updated her first NDC and completing the formulation of the long-term climate strategy. Over USD 28.1 billion will be required for implementation of the updated NDC by 2030. To spur domestic financing for climate action, the Ministry of Finance Planning and Economic Development and Ministry of Water and Environment is applying a range of approaches such as greening public finance management. Against this background, the Government of Uganda is organizing an expert discussion to share approaches and experiences on linking short-term climate action with long-term climate strategy and greening public finance management in Uganda.
