(12:30 - 13:30 EET) Taking NDC Implementation to the Next Level: Lessons learned from growing lasting capacity in developing countries

Comprehensive NDC implementation requires a clear understanding of the climate finance landscape, human and institutional capacity needs as well as wide stakeholder involvement. There are existing successful initiatives which have allowed countries to make significant progress. By focusing on three key levers of human capacity development – 1) embedded advisory support, 2) institutional capacity building and 3) technical assistance– CCFAH and CFAN represent proven models for mobilizing climate finance and that can spur replication in other countries and continue to strengthen access in existing ones.
