Having experienced a series of major hurricanes in the past decade, culminating with Hurricane Dorian, the youth of The Bahamas have sought to have their voices heard, their views and ideas significantly integrated into the national and international climate space, and to accelerate climate action. In the past year, The Government of The Bahamas has prioritised accelerating Action for Climate Empowerment (ACE) and providing a vital platform for its youth to advance climate action. These young people will put to the test what truly is youth empowerment and what does it look like?
