The UMEME Framework for NDC Implementation: Advancing renewable energy in Africa together with national climate plans

This guide goes through a step-by-step process in which policy makers can meet their NDC targets by an increased share of renewable energy in their overall energy mix. It is aimed at countries in Africa in particular. Through the five stages, the framework provides governments with a structured approach to support their efforts to coordinate NDC implementation across different parts of the bureaucracy. Additionally, it aims to empower African policy makers to carry out NDC implementation by linking sources of financial and technical assistance sources.
