Overview
Thailand’s Updated NDC sets an unconditional greenhouse gas emission reduction target of 20% against a business-as-usual scenario based on 2005 emissions. This target can be increased to 25% subject to adequate and enhanced access to technology development and transfer, financial resources, and capacity building support. Thailand is formulating a Long-term Low Greenhouse Gas Emission Development Strategy (LT-LEDS). The Government of Thailand submitted a request for support letter to the NDC Partnership in November 2020, requesting capacity building and technical support in the LT-LEDS process. Ten partners have indicated interests in supporting Thailand’s requests.
