Guatemala submitted its first NDC in January 2017 and submitted its long-term strategy in July 2021. A Partnership Plan has been under implementation since 2018. The country actively engaged in the Climate Action Enhancement Package, receiving support from UNDP, UNEP, and Red Cross Climate Centre to update its NDC and facilitate related consultations, conduct work on adaptation in the Dry Corridor, emissions inventories (industry, waste) and associated cost-benefit analysis, and work at the intersection of health and adaptation.
