Sectoral implementation of nationally determined contributions (NDCs) – Overview

The Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) has published a series of briefing papers dealing with the sectoral implementation of nationally determined contributions (NDCs). The eight different briefing have been complied by the GIZ Climate Policy Support Programme, which supports developing countries in their efforts in climate change adaptation and mitigation, and focus each on a different sector: the finance, transparency, energy supply, energy sufficiency, transport, agriculture, and forestry and land-use sectors are covered.

The first briefing serves an introduction to the series and addresses the encompassing cross-sectoral issues of NDC implementation. Additionally, it provides general background information on NDCs and the Paris Agreement.
