Taneque Heslop

Jamaica Facilitator

Taneque Heslop is a Climate Change Project Management Professional with over eight years of proven experience in climate change, private sector engagement, disaster risk reduction, and environment and climate financing initiatives at the government and civil society organizational level in Jamaica working with many line Ministries such as Energy, Water, Environment, and agencies. Her current emphasis is targeted at climate finance, NDC implementation and programme management.

As in-country facilitator, Taneque is embedded at the Ministry of Economic Growth and Job Creation (MEGJC), Climate Change Division (CCD), where she supports the NDC Partnership Focal Points with planning, coordinating, monitoring, and mobilizing resources towards the implementation of Jamaica’s NDC. She is working to facilitate, coordinate, and promote discourse and relationships on a national and regional level by building relationships with academia, government officials, civil society, and private sector actors. She also has wide knowledge of working with institutions, private sector actors (MSMEs), women, youth, and community groups.

She is an avid supporter of gender and climate justice whilst promoting and lobbying for a low carbon, climate resilient future for Small Island Developing States.
