Mirjam Ndahafa Kaholongo

Mirjam Ndahafa Kaholongo holds a Master’s Degree in Environmental Management. She specialized in sustainable development, obtained from the University of Queensland in Australia. She has extensive professional experience in project management, sustainable agriculture, youth empowerment and gender mainstreaming, management of natural resources through sustainable practices to maintain ecosystem functioning. Additionally, Mirjam possesses vast experience in working with communities to design and implement innovative solutions to socio-economic (livelihood transformation) and environmental challenges. She successfully led several donor-funded projects in close collaboration and partnerships with the government, non-governmental organizations, and international organizations. She brings a wealth of experience in implementation of Green Climate Fund (GCF) funded projects, following her recent role as a National Project Manager at Environmental Investment Fund of Namibia (EIF). As the National NDC Strategic Advisor, Mirjam is embedded in the Climate Change Unit under the Ministry of Environment, Forestry and Tourism. This position is supported by UNDP.
