Kiyomi de Zoysa

Communications Coordinator

Kiyomi de Zoysa is the interim Communications Coordinator for the NDC Partnership. Before joining the Partnership, she served as an Engagement and Communications Specialist within the Climate Resilience Practice (CRP) for the World Resources Institute (WRI), where she supported the Adaptation Action Coalition Secretariat, specializing in country engagement and capturing the adaptation initiatives of members through various communications products. She has also been a point person for WRI’s work on locally led adaptation (LLA), leading the LLA community of practice.

She is a graduate of the Asian Peacebuilders Scholarship Master's Program, obtaining dual MA's in Responsible Management and Sustainable Economic Development at the UN Mandated University for Peace (Costa Rica) and Transdisciplinary Social Development at Ateneo de Manila University (Philippines). In 2019-2020 she served as a Lankacorp fellow of The Asia Foundation Sri Lanka where she conducted social development research in gender inclusion and political empowerment in subnational governments of Sri Lanka. Although she is based in Berkeley, California, she was born and raised in Japan with Sri Lankan parents. She identifies as a transnational climate action facilitator with a passion for travel and connecting with people from different cultures.
