Jamie Bindon
Enhancement Knowledge Specialist
Jamie Bindon is the Enhancement Knowledge Specialist for the NDC Partnership Support Unit. She leads the Partnership’s efforts to turn the learning and lessons from NDC enhancement captured through the Climate Action Enhancement Package into global shareable insights. Jamie leads Knowledge and Learning activities around NDC enhancement, extracting learning from CAEP progress reports, convening partners to exchange lessons learned, and organizing capacity building and outreach activities to carry forward the Partnership’s collective learning from CAEP. Additionally, Jamie provides support in the development of analytical knowledge products, working specifically on the Latin America and Caribbean region.
Prior to joining the NDC Partnership Jamie worked on the USAID ASSIST project supporting project activities and data management for the project’s 8 Latin American country offices. Jamie previously worked with the youth-leadership NGO Amigos de las Americas, where she oversaw sustainable community development projects and co-led multinational ‘campamentos’ in Costa Rican national parks, carrying out trail-work and conservation efforts. While completing her degree, Jamie was a Climate & Energy and Recreation Intern in the Government Relations department at The Wilderness Society.
Jamie holds a B.A. in International Studies and Spanish from American University. During her time at American she studied abroad in Bolivia through the School for International Training, where she published a bilingual children’s book about deforestation.
