Andrew Jean-Louis
Seychelles Facilitator
Andrew has a science and energy background from Murdoch University in Western Australia. His experience includes the renewable energy, energy efficiency and climate change fields. He was involved in the building of the first wind farm in the Seychelles and spearheaded the creation of the country’s Energy Commission by leading the drafting of the Energy Act (2012). He has also participated in both National Communications to the UNFCCC, the drafting of an NDC and the Technology Need Assessment. His extensive experience also includes working with international organisations such as the World Bank, UNDP and the EU.
Andrew is embedded at the Department of Energy and Climate Change (DECC), where the Principal Secretary of this department is also the UNFCCC and GEF National Focal Point.
