RALI GHG MRV Harmonization Framework

This new guide, developed by the RALI team, provides a “turn-key” approach for national inventory teams, mitigation activity implementers, and other climate change practitioners to successfully apply the Harmonization Framework to a selected mitigation activity, and can be used to improve national GHG accounting. The GHG MRV Harmonization Framework is intended to support country-level harmonization between mitigation activities and national inventories. The framework can also be used to develop measurement, reporting, and verification (MRV) methods that align with national GHG inventory needs. Stakeholders can apply this framework to continually improve transparency, completeness, and accuracy of a national inventory. This framework will better position stakeholders to demonstrate progress towards a country’s NDC budget and improve the accuracy of national GHG emissions reporting.
