Pacific Gender and Climate Change Toolkit: Tools for Practitioners
Pacific Gender and Climate Change Toolkit: Tools for Practitioners is designed to support climate change practitioners in the Pacific islands region to integrate gender into their programs and projects. It is aimed at climate change professionals working in national governments, non-governmental organizations, regional and international organizations who are involved in managing and implementing climate change programs. This document consists of 3 modules. Module 1 is introductory and explains why gender is a critical consideration in climate change efforts. Module 2 focuses on the links between gender and climate change in specific sectors (food security, water, and energy, and disaster risk reduction). Module 3 is a 'how to' section on integrating gender by identifying potential entry-points for integrating gender into climate change projects and contains a gender checklist that can be applied to programs.
