Guidebook for Monitoring and Evaluating Ecosystem-based Adaptation Interventions

Developer or Source: Friends of Ecosystem-based Adaptation (FEBA) Network, UN Environment Programme World Conservation Monitoring Centre (UNEP-WCMC)

The guidebook provides an overview of the process needed for designing and implementing effective monitoring and evaluation (M&E) for Ecosystem-based Adaptation (EbA). It breaks this process down into four key steps that will help develop and operationalise an M&E system for EbA, as well as effectively use and communicate M&E results. It is primarily aimed at practitioners and planners recommended to be used at the early stages of designing an EbA intervention. It aims to assist in going beyond simply measuring the activities and outputs of an EbA intervention and moving towards evaluating the outcomes and impacts of those actions.
