Aligning energy development and NDCs
Developer or Source:
Climate Development and Knowledge Network (CDKN)
A paper detailing how countries can reduce energy emissions in a way that is incorporated with national energy policies, and how to incorporate these actions into NDC implementation plans. The paper uses four developing countries as examples: Ethiopia, Peru, Bangladesh, and Ghana. The authors identify Ethiopia and Peru as examples of good practice in addressing energy emissions in their NDCs and consistency with national energy plans, while Bangladesh and Ghana have relatively low ambition in their NDCs but the potential to submit more ambitious emissions reductions commitments.
